“Between sport and nutrition is health” is a project under Erasmus+ Program, key action 1- youth exchanges. The Melente-Pivas & Fiii Organization from Romania, the Tsar Simeon Veliki Secondary school from Bulgaria, the Young Initiative Education, Youth and Sport Club from Turkey, the Educational Activities Society- Edrase from Greece and the Liceo E. Majorana from Italy were involved in the project. It took place in Bușteni, Romania between 21-28 November 2016 and 35 young people between 16-30 years old from the partner countries participated.
The need to implement this project came in the context in which young people surrounded by technology and fast food, do not care about movement and healthy eating. Thus, the main objectives of the project were to promote a healthy lifestyle based on proper exercise and nutrition.
To achieve these objectives, during the seven days, the young people participated in outdoor activities and activities of information regarding the most important aspects of nutrition. Some of the working methods used were: presentation, debate, open discussion, teamwork.
All these methods were based on tools for non-formal and informal education that fostered the involvement and active participation of the young participants. They developed the skills of teamwork and improved the information about an active lifestyle. They undertook the responsibility to promote visibility and dissemination, to participate in workshops, to develop teamwork skills and increase the information regarding the healthy lifestyle.
