It proposes to value the knowledge of senior citizens especially that of retired ones so that the wealth of personal experience acquired is not lost and also aims at improving their quality of life while aging actively.
To this end, the project focuses on a transfer of knowledge to the young, especially to unemployed youth with the objective of acquiring new skills through the implementation of different activities in various modalities and using the web radio as a means of dissemination. The web radio broadcast prepared and conducted by technical experts in the field is a valid and innovative instrument at the national level in each country as a means of broadcasting at a low cost. 13 programmes will be broadcast over a network via web radio at an international level. Topics debated during the web radio programme broadcast and those used in training will relate to each partner institution’s field of work. A round table debate comprising seniors and juniors will be organised to debate topics from different generational perspectives where another partner institution radio station will be contacted with a view to promoting an intergenerational and international perspective and an active European citizenship. The impact of activities implemented will be measured through feedback from all participants involved. In order to disseminate findings and results we will use our network of our institutions in each country. The international meetings will also be an opportunity to disseminate results on a step by step basis. The use of Moodle platform will enhance exchange of information between partners.
